Stimulating a desire to learn is a key objective for NACE Schools, and this applies to both teachers and students. Continuous professional training, systematic exchanges of views and ideas and professional collaborations allow our teachers to remain at the forefront of educational innovation. We work together to provide our students with the best possible education, optimising resources, and focusing on the needs and abilities of every student, to ensure that they are equipped with the tools that they need to succeed in their academic studies and to confidently embrace the challenges of their future personal and professional lives.
At NACE Schools we believe that the entire educational community should have the opportunity to continue to learn and improve. Our teachers participate in training days and workshops on topics such as emotional intelligence, the effective use of new technologies and classroom management. Recently, teachers from Agora International School Andorra participated in a workshop entitled “Impact on learning”, an interactive workshop that provided teachers with a range of strategies designed to increase and optimise their impact on student learning.
Another initiative designed to support effective teaching and learning is known as Coaching. Teachers across the NACE group receive training in leadership strategies so that they can offer support and advice to their colleagues. The NACE schools group has also developed an evaluation framework known as the NACE Platinum Standard, which involves a systematic process of evaluation, support and improvement, and is designed to ensure that the highest standards of teaching and learning are maintained throughout all the schools belonging to the NACE Schools group.
NACE schools organise regular staff training in order to ensure that the highest standards of teaching and learning are maintained throughout the group. The entire teaching team of Agora International School Andorra recently participated in a training workshop called “Impact on Learning”, during which a range of practical strategies aimed at achieving a greater impact on student learning were presented and discussed, including: systems for monitoring student progress; effective feedback; and creating an aspirational learning environment.
In 2017, as part of the NACE Schools Group’s commitment to educational excellence, the NACE Learning Coaches initiative was launched. Teachers from across the NACE group have been trained as Learning Coaches with a view to supporting their colleagues in their pursuit of professional excellence.
The schools belonging to the NACE Schools Group employ dedicated and passionate teachers, who love their work and constantly strive to develop and improve their teaching skills. As part of their professional development, our teachers hope to achieve the same goals that they encourage in their students: whatever path you choose in life, be the best that you can be!
NACE Platinum Standard is a quality standards programme which is designed as an ongoing tool to monitor and improve the overall performance of all the schools in the NACE group. The programme provides a diagnostic tool which can be used to assess the quality of the education provided at each school, in line with best practice from education systems around the world. The programme uses a variety of quality indicators which help to establish improvement plans in areas such as leadership, quality of teaching and learning and the progress and well-being of the students.Find out more about the NACE Platinum Standard
