Our educational philosophy is based on four core principles common to all schools in the NACE group: Educational Excellence, Global Readiness, including linguistic immersion, Co-curricular enrichment and a Values-based Education. These four core principles form the foundations upon which we base our overall objective: to prepare every student in our care to live happy, fulfilling and successful lives in today’s globalised world.
At Agora International School Andorra, educational excellence involves helping our students to develop their individual skills and talents by employing innovative teaching strategies within a personalised and supportive learning environment. Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced professionals, who focus on ensuring that that our students acquire the tools that they need to develop their full academic and personal potential. We use digital technologies to support and enrich the learning process and we are lucky enough to be situated in magnificent mountainous terrain, providing our students with a unique opportunity to connect with the natural world around them.
The second core principle upon which our educational vision is based is Global Readiness. This means that our students are given the opportunity to immerse themselves in at least three languages: Spanish, English and French, and also take classes in Catalan, Andorra’s official language. Language classes at Agora International School Andorra are taught by both native and bilingual teachers and students work towards obtaining internationally recognised qualifications. Global Readiness also involves delivering subject matter from within a global context and helping students to view the world and the issues that we face from a wider global perspective. Our students are also lucky enough to have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of exchanges, events and activities organised by the NACE Schools group, which bring together students from around the world, allowing them to share skills and experiences, exchange views and forge friendships.
Our third core principle is referred to as “More than just a school”, and relates to the importance that we place on co-curricular enrichment, providing students with a wide range of learning opportunities to complement the school’s academic curriculum. We believe that sport, music and the creative arts are essential for the development of well-educated, well-rounded young people.
Finally, the foundation of our entire programme is an education based on a set of shared values. We aim to encourage our students to adopt a personal value system that includes respect, tolerance, compassion, commitment and a sense of social and personal responsibility; values that they will carry forward into their future lives.
Our education programme is founded upon the best teaching methodologies delivered by a team of professional educators who receive constant training to ensure that they remain at the cutting edge of their craft. Students learn in a supportive, child-centred environment, assisted by the latest digital technologies, enabling personal growth and academic success.Find out more
